I was admitted to hospital following gall stoned induced pancreatitis. I was treated well and the staff were helpful and friendly. However, I think the hours they are asked to work are unhealthy and un conducive to a good home life for them. It must put a lot of strain on their family and stress on them. I think more sociable hours would be more beneficial for the staff and in turn for the patients. I don't think continuity of care is as important as the staff being well rested and unstressed. Perhaps if working hours were more reasonable there would be less of an issue with staffing within the NHS.
