What I liked
After travelling from Telford in Shropshire to visit my very ill mother. I found her happy and settled She counden't wish for better staff and consultant.The consultant even telephoned me himself with regards my mothers treatment. The nurses were extra kind at helping me to keep in touch considering the distance. I was even given a room to sleep on one occasion. I found the ward 15 very clean and watched how thoroughly the cleaner was. The staff treating my mum are lovely considering she's just another elderly old lady. I find the elderly dont always get treated with respect. BUT! the staff on ward 15 include my mum in everything to do with her care and take time to SPEAK to her. I can only say ward 15 is wonderful!
What could be improved
The rather load joking and chatting at the desk isn't nice to listen to when you are feeling so unwell
