"I cant thank those involved with my care enough"

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I was taken to royal berks via ambulance in 2012 after collapsing at home and suffering from what my drs had called all week a virus. I was admittied with a blood sugar of 40. 6, subseqently diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic and was unconscious for 2 days. The care I recieved from everyone in the ICU (both prior to my recollection ) and after I woke from my COMA was second to none. The care I also recieved from the team when I was transferred to the Caverham ward (urgently because of a need for the bed in ICU) was first rate even though I was not the type of patient CW was setup to deal with. I am now adjusting life to type 1 diabetes, fell pregnant 3 months after my admission to hospital and am now living life to the full as a mum of a nearly 4 year old. I cant thank those involved with my care enough for giving me the opportunity to still be here telling my tale.
