"Not Acceptable"

About: Salisbury District Hospital / Accident and emergency

Reception staff member in A&E having the audacity to park their car in the very limited parking spaces, including a disabled space outside the department during busy times and then telling people dropping off people to move their cars. Not acceptable as there must be plenty of staff parking.

Thank you for your comment. We acknowledge that parking space is limited outside our A&E department. This includes a drop off area and two other spaces for disabled badge holders and we apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced. We have policies in place to ensure that disabled patients, visitors and staff do not face discrimination and staff who are registered disabled are able to use spaces reserved for people who are disabled badge holders, if their disabled badge is displayed together with other staff parking requirements. We will, however, use this opportunity to remind our staff about the appropriate use of car parking spaces around the A&E department and thank you again for your feedback.
