"DART"

About: Devon Access and Referral Team (DART)

(as a relative),

This system is great for people with confidence to talk on the phone,

however if the person has none then no Appointment is made.

Why cant you book on line ?

Dear ‘Dave144’

Thank you for contacting us with your query, we are always happy to receive patient feedback and do our best to use it to improve our service.

In answer to your question we are currently considering the option of an e-mail booking service for those patients who prefer not to or are unable to use the phone. However, we feel that the service we offer patients really requires a conversation to explain the various options and offer proper advice, which is difficult to replicate using e-mail or an online system.

As an alternative, if a patient makes their GP surgery aware of the fact that they would prefer not to have to use the DART booking line then there is a general helpline that the practice can phone. In these circumstances DART would be happy to book the appointment through the GP surgery or discuss with the practice how else to meet the patient’s needs.

Kind regards,

Susan
