"the staff were very friendly and ..."

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

the staff were very friendly and very efficient, the food was good and they would help you the best they could. The wards were clean and cleaned regularly every day, and had gel was supplied which was good as this keeps infection at bay. The treatment i received was good and the doctors came round every day to review your treatment. The beds were comfortable and easy to use. The patient service was good with easy use of the tv, internet, and telephone service.

What could be improved

they were short staffed on the ward some days, which meant that we on the bay where i was ended up looking after some of the other patients. This was only on the odd occasion though, most of the time they had enough staff.

I noticed when i was in hospital on separate occasion that the sheets were not clean and some even had mucus on them which is not good as this could spread infection from one patient to another this was on the medical assessment unit.

Anything else?

On the whole my treatment and care was good, but there are just a couple of things that need addressing, the points i mentioned above.
