"Visit to A&E on Boxing Day"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

I visited A&E yesterday after bleeding and clotting post D&C due to a miscarriage at the hospital on 22nd and wanted to say a huge thanks to the doctors and nurses on both occasions. I was seen last night by triage nurse who very kindly prioritised me due to the bleeding and large clots and arranged for me to see a gynae doctor. I then saw a Dr who was wonderful. The Dr assessed me and carried out a couple of not particularly pleasant procedures with great care. The Dr made me feel as comfortable as possible and I then had bloods taken my another nurse and then antibiotics delivered via a canular by a different nurse who again were extremely professional and friendly. The team made a very frightening experience as manageable as possible. I also cannot fault the emergency gynae (the early pregnancy) team who have supported me through two miscarriages and a D&C. The Nurse was particularly wonderful in providing me with kind and practical advice post both miscarriages and the care I received during my surgery last week was very good indeed.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your kind compliments, at what must have been a harrowing time for you.

We will ensure that your lovely feedback is forwarded on to the Matrons for A&E and Gynaecology, who I know will take much pleasure in forwarding on your feedback to the teams involved in your care. With our very best wishes for the future.

The PALS Team.
