"Visit to Urgent Care with my 2-year-old son"

About: South Tyneside District Hospital / Accident and emergency

My son had been vomiting for two days so we saw the practice nurse. Two days later, there was no improvement so we went to the Urgent Care centre at South Tyneside District Hospital. He was assessed, diagnosed and given treatment within two hours. All staff were efficient, knowledgable, empathetic and friendly. My son was diagnosed with a urine infection and has made significant progress since visiting the centre. We were extremely concerned with our son's symptoms and it was the week before Christmas. We can now look forward to Christmas Day with our son well on the way to full recovery. Thank you so much to everyone involved, we are indebted to you.
