"I think hospitals couldn’t run without us!"

About: Rotherham PCT

(as the patient),

I have a learning disability. I made an appointment at St Annes to see if I needed any special jabs to work with children. He asked me what I was there for, he told me I wouldn’t need to have any jabs. He explained everything to me, he was polite and kind.

I am a mentor of 3 NHS trusts: Rotherham PCT, Doncaster and Humberside, Sheffield Children’s. I go to meetings to discuss issues and complaints, I could get elected as governor eventually.

I like being involved with these, I think hospitals couldn’t run without us!

Some doctors talk to carers more, I think that’s rude.

I support the organisation in making sure that the voice of patients and the public is heard and used in planning services. This involves running events, managing surveys, and building networks with the local community.

Thanks for telling us so much!

Its good to know the staff at St Annes are polite and kind, I will tell them that you have said this.

I'd also like to say thanks for all the work that you are doing to help us make services better for people. And I hope that you do get elected as a governor!

About doctors talking to carers too much; I will tell other staff who work here about this. When I know what we can do to help stop this, I will put another reply on here.
