"No communication"

About: Spire Roding Hospital

I arrived at the hospital and checked in. I was to see a Consultant and Radiologist for an Ultrasound. I waited forty-five minutes and then saw the Consultant was leaving with a scarf around their neck. I called to them and they said they thought I did not turn up! The consultant then went on to tell me that the Radiologist was sick and unable to do the Ultrasound anyway! Why was I not telephoned about the Radiologist being sick and it seems there is no communication between staff.
