What I liked
Came in because my GP had not got me into the Warfarin Clinic in time so had DVT relapse. ER doctor treated me like scum, and ended up storming out because I questioned why they wanted me to spend the night in hospital. No explanations, just 'you have to'. The nurses on the wards (aka corridors) totally ignore the patients, and are much more interested in discussing their social lives than helping the many old and infirm patients. I found the work ethos absolutely disgusting.
Of course it was not all bad, and the specialist who I saw eventually was fantastic, and some of the other nurses are marvelous, but as a rule, especially on the wards, it was utterly inhuman.
What could be improved
Sack/retrain the nurses on the wards, clean the ER properly, treat patients like human beings instead of cattle.
