After a routine check up a very large ovarian mass was found. There was a concern about its nature and from the first appt things moved very quickly, from getting the ultrasound to ct scan to a date for it be be removed and biopsied. I was extremely impressed with the timely and efficient care I received.
My stay on ward 32 while I had the op was equally impressive. You hear so many stories about the NHS however my experience has left me feeling nothing but grateful for the service we receive and I feel very lucky to live in a country where I can benefit from it.
A particular mention should be made of the nursing staff on ward 32 they were caring, friendly and attentive. They were clearly very busy but they couldn't have made my stay any better. At a time where you feel so physically and emotionally vulnerable having caring professionals looking after you means a great deal.
