What could be improved
Time keeping.
Anything else?
I was referred here during my antenatal care due to complications. I visited the antenatal clinic on many occasions and was kept waiting for long periods on most of these times (apart from scanning which were very positive experiences). At the scheduled referral visit I was kept waiting for 90 minutes and didn't even get to see a consultant. The registrar who seemed to be on a new rotation saw me and I was ushered into a very hectic consultation. The room had several doors open to a staff area where other people's issues were being discussed at volume. My own, very rare, complication was not handled with much sympathy. The registrar was on call for delivery suite also and got called away. My consultation ended quite abruptly. The nurse attached to the registrar seemed quite frightened of him and at one point was taking my blood as she sat on the floor. I felt no dignity here. I was ushered out of the room within minutes with a prescription and 5 minutes to get to pharmacy before closing. At 8 months pregnant you don't travel fast on your feet. Just as well we had our wits about us as the nurse even sent us the wrong way!
