"Some of the nurses were very caring ..."

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Some of the nurses were very caring and professional. They did their best to make sure I was comfortable and made sure I had my medication on time when I was in a lot of pain

What could be improved

The attitude of the ward sister and one of the nurses was unacceptable and unprofessional.

I felt as though they weren't interested in my opinion and was spoken to very abruptly by one nurse. There were times when I didn't my medication on time not always being given the correct dosage and ended up experiencing more discomfort than I should have during my stay

Anything else?

No doubt my condition may well cause me to be admitted to hospital again in the future. I hope I'm admitted somewhere else next time.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you had a disappointing experience at Darlington Hospital. I am concerned to hear that you felt some of the nursing staff were not professional and I would like to ask you to contact the Trust's patient advice and liaison service on 01325 743887 so that we can discuss this in more detail.
