"How long is too long to wait for surgery?."

I have to admit that every time i visit either North Tees or Hartlepool Hospitals the staff and my treatment have been brilliant. The problem that i am addressing is about waiting times and how long is long enough. I have been on a waiting list for surgery to my right hip since i had my pre-operation medical assessment. This was done Seven months ago so even the pre-assessment is now a month out of date. I have been on the surgical cancellations list now for a month and a half with still no date for surgery. Please note that this is in no way a pop at the staff of the Hospitals as previously stated they are brilliant. But something really needs to be done to address waiting times.
