I have been admitted to frimley with a minor bleed at 35 weeks. Our girl was supposed to be delivered at the end of August by c section as my placenta was blocking the cervix. Because of the bleed I had to stay there for monitoring in case she comes early. I have been so well looked after and then discharged on the 9th August. Before going home I had a scan confirming that c section will be the way of delivery. On the 11th August at 1am my water broke. I went back and was examined and had a scan which has shown that my placenta has shifted by little bit. But enough for me to have a natural labour. I was not prepared for that. Our little girl was born at 5.29am that same day. As she was 4 weeks early we had to stay for another week just make sure she is well enough to go home with us. We came home on the 18th. That same night we had a bit of a panic as our little newborn was struggling to breathe. We phoned the tcu unit and they told us to come back right away. The examination showed everything was all good. Just a little blocked nose. But for us new parents with no expertise or experience, it was frightening to see this tiny little 4.85lb helpless bundle and obviously we wanted her to be ok....i just want to say that from start to finish over those 2 weeks, every single person I have come into contact with has been very kind, supportive, helpful and comforting. We could have not asked for more or a better service. We are now expecting our 2nd one in July. And I refuse to move to a different place or area, just to make sure that frimley is the place I go to have my 2nd baby. All the nurses have been pushed to their limits, constantly attending to us, patients/ new mums... I cannot thank you enough for you kindness and understanding and helping us to become a parent
