"During my stay here (15 Days) ..."

About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

(as the patient),

What I liked

During my stay here (15 Days) I was in 3 different wards D27, D25 and finally, when my condition was diagnosed, in D15. In all wards the nurses and doctors were all very good, I'd go as far as saying they were exceptional on Ward D15. Nothing was too much trouble and any questions I had about my condition were answered, if not immediately, then usually in a short time.

What could be improved

At times there was conflict between what my consultant had told me to what the nurses told me. e.g. My consultant said I needed 3 hours bed rest after a minor procedure only then to be told by the nurse it was actually 6 hours bed rest. This is just a minor quibble but important to me because as soon as I'd had my bed rest I would be discharged.

Anything else?

The food was good enough. 2 piping hot meals a day if I wanted them and puddings to follow. Although after being in for so long I was getting fed up with the food but there was no objection to family members bringing in a kfc or a mackies. Oh and you can't get a decent nights sleep here as there is always something going on. However there are quiet times during the day to grab an hour or two.
