"I feel isolated and unsupported with my lupus"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

Having been diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome, and then cold agglutinins, I then found out by accident 6 months later that I had in fact been tested positive for lupus also. I wasn't told of the test or outcome.

From there I saw a rheumatologist at Hairmyres hospital in East Kilbride a couple of times but was then lost in the system for a year.

My GP was able to offer little support as it wasn't her field, and so I had to wait for an appointment to become available. However when I did see the consultant, he seemed too busy to really be interested in anything I had to say.

I feel very isolated and unsupported...and frightened, I guess.
