"Faultless care from caring doctors and nurses"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Cardiology Solihull Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I recently had a severe heart attack and was taken by ambulance to Heartlands hospital. I am a very nervous patient with a severe needle phobia, the treatment I received was beyond reproach, delivered by such caring doctors and nurses who under pressure were faultless. After theatre I was transferred to ward 6 CCU unit and made welcome by cheery staff who could not do enough for me.

From the moment I arrived at the hospital the care I received was equal to anything one could get anywhere on this planet and I can only thank everyone involved.

After a couple of days I was transferred to Solihull Hospital ward 17 where once again the treatment was delivered by cheery staff who made me comfortable, nothing was too much trouble for them.

In my experience the people who run these hospitals can be proud of what they are doing, I can not thank them enough

Dear Inco

Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments about your patient experience at Heartlands and Solihull Hospitals following a severe heart attack. I'm sure this must have been a very frightening time for you and I am so pleased to read that you feed the treatment you received throughout was exemplary.

I will ensure that your kind comments are highlighted to the Matrons for both Emergency Department (ED) and Cardiology, as well as the Clinical Directors for both specialities, and they will all ensure that your feedback is communicated to their respective teams, nursing and clinical, who work very hard to provide great care and a positive patient experience, often under very difficult pressures.

I hope my actions are acceptable and once again thank you for your post, patient experience and feedback is very important to us.

My very best wishes to you for your continued recovery.

Kind regards

Marie Helebert
