I will be making an official complaint to the Derbyshire Trust as well as this email. Since moving to this area, every single time I have used a service, something has gone wrong on the admin side.
I won't go into great detail, but I've learnt that in High Peak at least, especially with 3 Valleys Healthcare, you need to micro manage every step of the process to make sure that your details have been passed on and find out when your appointment is.
If you are told that you'll be sent a letter, that someone will call you - don't get your hopes up. The only person who actually did what they said they would is my dermatologist. Otherwise, every single time some has told me 'there's be a letter in the post', nothing arrives. Always double check your appointments and chase them if you haven't heard anything within a week or so. Also, if you are hoping to get an allergy test right now - forget it. I was told that someone who conducts them in Macclesfield is on leave, with no end date in side.
''But surely, there must be someone to replace them in the meantime?'' you say. No! No one to replace them at all! I feel really bad for those with severe allergies waiting for testing. Shocking.
"Poor admin"
