"Mums care"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

On the 16th of july my mum had a fall she was admitted to d.r.i with broken hip a double break on her wrist and a bang to her head. The next day she had a operation on her hip n her wrist reset mri scan which we still dont know results from it. Mum spent 10 days in hospital trainee physiotherapists came round once a day to tell her to stand up wriggle her hips and sit back down that was her physio for the day. When she came home i had to wash her n dress her basically doing everything she went back to dri for a check up they wriggled her leg said its ok n thats been it for 7 weeks my mum never got any after care at all the staff never even realised my mum had 1 leg longer than other due to op. It took many emails to get my mum the help she has needed its been a long road n still is my mums not walking properly but will get there. Im so disappointed with the aftercare its a good job mum has got a family by her side if you just discharge people with no aftercare or any follow ups. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone again and lessons are learnt by this.
