"Overall excellent process for ear syringing"

About: Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I had attended a pharmacy for a free hearing health check but was advised that as my ear were blocked by wax, it would have to be deferred and I was given a letter for my GP explaining this. I rang my GP and was given an appointment for the following day with the nurse practitioner who printed out a referral for the Treatment Room which was then faxed to this service. I rang the Treatment Room booking line the following day and was given an appointment for the next day at Breeze Hill Medical Centre.

My appointment was 5. 40pm and I was called in at 5. 30pm by a pleasant and cheerful nurse who was very thorough in her explanations and questions, to ensure I knew the risks etc. She carried out the syringing procedure efficiently and with care. I would like to thank the nurse Sam (female). I cn now attend my rearrranged hearing healthcheck.

Overall, an excellent process.
