"Unfaltering Care"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

In the early hours of yesterday morning we visited a&e because our son had breathing difficulties. He was seen straight away and after wonderful treatment from the staff, we were referred to Padua Ward. Our Sons care was unfaltering. The staff in both a&e and Padua Ward were commited, kind and consistent. They work tirelessly to bring this service to the public and I feel it necessary to say that both staff and our services should be treated with the same dignity and respect as they give us. I would recommend these departments to anybody. We were kept in all day and our son was closely observed, looked after with plenty to eat, drink and a beautiful play room to use. The rooms were clean, the food by all accounts was lovely seeing as he ate it all! There was also a student working on the ward at the time and that person was fantastic as well which goes to show that the staff support everybody. Thank you all so much for your endless care. You are all angels.

Thank you so much for letting us know about your son's and your own experience of Padua Ward - and for taking the time so soon after the event.

I'm sure that your son's breathing difficulties must have been very worrying at the time, but it is good to hear that he was soon treated and was well enough to enjoy his food!

I do hope that he is now fully recovered.

Thank you for your very kind comments about all the staff.
