First impression was shock at the fact people were having to wait several hours. My daughter & I were there 4-1/2 hours,. She was in acute pain with very laboured breathing.i don't blame the staff for this they were at full stretch. Treatment rooms were badly in need of cleaning up with bits of what been previously used left on the floor. The toilet was disgusting, more the fault of patients but a chap walked around with cleaning trolley and did absolutely nothing.. I was in support of keeping
A&E in Huddersfield but if this is the best they can do I now have my doubts.
I feel for the staff who were professional , just didn't have time to make patients feel they were not on a slow conveyor belt..Sad reflection on HRI managers.
"Shambolic"
