I went to the Hallamshire for a prostate operation. I went in at 7:30am, though the operation didn't happen until 2pm. I had an epidural, so I couldn't feel anything. The care I received was satisfactory and at no stage was I embarrassed. It was all good. The food was not a la carte, but it was quite edible.
The nurses who cared for me on ward H1 were all kind. There was not a great wait after ringing the buzzer, I have no complaints at all. The surgeon came and asked me how I was - he kept a keen eye on me. Many thanks to everybody concerned.
