"Excellent care"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

The staff on Pod 3 critical care unit at UHNM are truly amazing.

They are currently looking after my Stepson following a Traumatic Brain Injury. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the communication from everyone has been excellent, as a family we have continuously been updated. As a nurse myself I have had many questions about medications and his care. The staff have had patience with me and answered / explained everything.

Working within the NHS I feel it is important to give feedback whether good or bad. I have nothing but praise for their professionalism and caring attitude.

I would also like to mention the very friendly receptionist they have on the unit, who continues to smile despite forever getting up and down to let families in.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on your experience of our hospital, particularly as you are going through such a traumatic time. I will share your kind words with the Matron and team on Pod 3 who I know will appreciate them.

I do hope your stepson is recovering from his injury.

With very best wishes

Rebecca Smith, Quality Improvement Facilitator: Patient Experience.
