After my initial failed treatment at A and E I returned again via a blue light ambulance. I am sure that by this time my condition had deteriorated. I waited in a queue with 5 patients on trolleys which wasted the valuable time of 5 ambulance crews who had to stand around and wait with us. I then waited another several hours to finally get to see the correct physician who gave me even more temporary treatment. ( A and E staff had already given me temporary treatment. The whole system is in chaos. Nobody is in charge other than people who are obviously regular nhs users. One member of staff made my ordeal less harrowing, was ultra professional and has amazing care skills.
It was with real relief that I was finally transferred to ward 111 where I received excellent care and treatment.
"A and E is like a war zone"
