I was diagnosed as having Psoriatic Arthritis in 2014. As a keen social dancer it was a massive life changing thing for me because I was hoping to embark on some teaching too. I was prescribed medication and although there were some teething problems with getting the dosage correct here I am two years later dancing, coaching small groups and teaching dance classes on occasions too. The care I've received has been fantastic from the reception, the nurses and from the two Consultants at the Prince Elizabeth Orthopaedic centre. My life has been significantly improved because of the treatment. Without it I don't think I'd be walking, let alone able to dance. Yes it's true that sometimes the department was running late and I wasn't seen as quickly as I could have been but then again the wait times were never more than 1 hour, which lets face it, is actually pretty good considering the chronic under funding of the NHS that's been going on. Thank you all for your help, it's given me my life back!
