I'm 60 years of age and I was admitted for a recent lung biopsy surgery and was on ward 26 for 2 days. The treatment I had throughout was exemplary and second to none. I'd been in to Groby Road Hospital for surgery many years before, approaching 40 years ago and I was amazed by how much medical treatment has changed in those years. I was apprehensive to have to go for recent surgery after my earlier surgery 40 years or so ago but I wouldn't hesitate to reassure anyone going in for surgery that they are in the best hands in the country if not the world. Groby Road Hospital which was replaced by Glenfield Hospital was one of the best hospitals in this country in it's time if not the world and I can say after my recent surgery Glenfield Hospital carries on and surpasses the reputation of Groby Road Hospital thanks to teams like the consultants and nurses on ward 26 and all other associated areas. All the staff were thoroughly professional all the time and I cannot thank them all enough.
"Best care in the country if not the world."
