Whipps has always had a bad reputation in my family after an op went wrong on our dad over 30 years ago. But the service and treatment I have received the last week has been absolutely outstanding! 1st trip to urgent care (29-11-16), I was booked in, seen by triage, x-rayed, put in a cast and discharged within 2 hours and 15 mins. Seen again today (1-12-16) in the outpatients ward, was very busy and running an hour behind schedule on appointments. Even with this taken into consideration, I was booked in, cast cut off, re x-rayed, and new cast applied within 2 and a half hours. The staff in the outpatients ward were so busy, and clearly overworked, but the level of courtesy, and care shown was brilliant! Especially would like to praise the two fracture clinic receptionists, all 3 people in the plaster room, and the nurse patrolling the waiting rooms making sure everyone was ok. All the staff in this department were clearly very busy, but had all the time In the world to help me. Thank you NHS
