"Uregnt referral to oral department"

About: Ormskirk & District General Hospital

I have stage 4 Oesophageal cancer and after a visit to my dentist , I was given an urgent referral to see an oral surgeon . The appointment was given within 7 days , went to appointment and the doctor wanted a blood test , went to department for test to be told be do not do blood test today by an off hand receptionist , so had to wait in walk in clinic for an hour to get a blood test . Was given a letter by consultant for Oral reception / bookings for extraction and biopsy to be told by reception on we will write to you with an appointment 10 day later still no appointment . I have spoken to my cancer team who want to extraction before my next chemo session they have talk to the department still no appointment . It seem to me that these people do not care that I have a limited life left and one department does not talk to another and if they do they do not care about people .at best I have 12 months left so I have to sit with tooth arch while they push pieces of paper around .

My view of this hospital is there is no department co ordination and the support staff are uncaring and not interested .
