"The staff in the delivery suite ..."

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The staff in the delivery suite of the hospital were fantastic, really helpful and kept us informed of what was happening with my wife's care all the way through.

What could be improved

The visiting times for new borns fathers is ridiculous. Having had our baby only 30 minutes prior to being moved to the post natal ward I was told to leave as it was outside visiting times. How can they do this to the fathers??

Anything else?

The antenatal ward, what a joke. The doctors can't make a decision, the consultants can't make a decision, they take a minimum 6 hours to do anything. My wife was admitted for pre eclampsia in order to hae an induction. Blood pressure was supposed to be check 4 hourly and they did it once, medication was always late to be administered, she was given a drug she was told not to have which complicated the induction and th staff just couldn't care less. I would hate to be admitted to this hospital myself for an emergency.
