I was referred for a two week rule by my GP the first consultant I saw was amazing and respectful and spoke to me with dignity. I was advised at this appointment I had cancer. A follow up appointment was made and the consultant's first question was if I smoked and the history. This appeared to make them less interested when I replied yes. I as an adult understand the implications of smoking and the damage it can do as well as the money the NHS have to pay to people with chronic disease but the matter of fact was I had been told I had cancer at the previous appointment. Following further test no clarification was given or respect for any question I may have had for the consultant to answer in a prognosis and help I could get. I have declined treatment but still need nutritional advice. On a whole I feel empty and disappointed by the whole outcome. I have now been discharged from follow up with no answers. Disgusting behaviour by a "professional". No wonder the NHS is failing.
"Disappointed Appointment."
