"Really wonderful care given"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital / Accident and emergency

My husband was taken to A and E at this hospital after a fall in the nearby town of Deal. He had suddenly blacked out in a coffee shop and hit his head as he fell. Someone called an ambulance and we were driven up the coast to Margate. We were very impressed by (and grateful for) the care he was given at the hosptial there. The staff were kind, helpful, diligent and skillful despite the A and E being busy. He was given ECG, various blood pressure checks, ECG's, blood tests and a CT head scan as well as having his head wound treated. We were seen quickly and he was put on a drip for some time to get his blood pressure back up. We were particularly impressed by one of the HCA's (or they might have been a nurse) and very impressed by the doctor whose care he seemed to be under. Well done to all the staff who work so hard at this hospital coping day after day with often distressed people. Thank you so much.

Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know about this - and how your husband was given kind, diligent and professional care after his very unfortunate incident in the coffee shop.

He would have had a nasty headache for the rest of the day, I expect, and I hope he recovered well afterwards.

Thank you again for your generous comments about the staff.
