"There was a great atmosphere with in the ward"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I had never been in hospital for anything serious and recently attended Monklands Day Surgery. From the moment I arrived at the Day surgery unit I was put at ease.

Although I was early for my appointment I was never on my own for less that 5/10 minutes without a member of staff popping in to say hello or provide me with information. There was a great atmosphere with in the ward.

Every patient that came into the ward during the time that I was there was treated with up most of respect and dignity.

From the waiting area to being seen by the surgeon and the anaesthetist and nurse in charge to coming out of surgery and the after care was out standing.

I was even walked out to my lift by a member of staff who then spoke to my father briefly before saying goodbye.

I would not hesitate to commend the staff on how relaxed and positive they made me feel about that whole experience.

Thank you very much

Dear CB321

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience in our Day Surgery at Monklands Hospital. I am delighted that you felt at ease with the staff, especially as your first time in hospital.

I will have great pleasure in passing on your comments to the team within Day Surgery.

Kind regards

Karen
