"Called back after mammogram"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I was called back after a routine mammogram. Everyone in the department was friendly and efficient, and even though I was not upset, I felt their empathy with what is a stressful experience - especially as I was (wrongly) convinced that they would find nothing. I had a further mammogram - a friendly and obviously expert radiologist - then an ultrasound and biopsy, carried out by a the consultant who couldn't have been nicer. I was then given an appointment to receive the results in one week's time. I didn't have to wait for long at all. Much appreciated.
