At the tender age of 56 I had my first experience of NHS hospital treatment with a 2 night stay and a minor operation. From my first contact with A & E staff through to admission and a small operation to sort out a lag abscess I cannot fault the service. Despite my concerns at a Sunday admission I could not have been treated better. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A saw a number of consultants during my short stay, all of whom were clear and concise with regards to my treatment. Hats off to the staff in Hopkins ward who looked after me. I had a brief return visit today to the fracture clinic for a final assessment and re-dressing of the wound and again all spot on. Thank you for your help.
