"My teenage son went to WCH on ..."

About: West Cornwall Hospital (Penzance)

(as the patient),

What I liked

My teenage son went to WCH on Monday night with his Gran presenting with severe stomach pains. The Doctor diagnosed probable grumbling appendix and said it should be taken out. We went up to the surgical unit at Treliske yesterday, on his 18th birthday, having been told he was booked in for an op only to wait all day to see a consultant who then sent us home with no explanation of what my son has. My son is still experiencing abdominal pain. How can people just be treated like this and told one thing on one day and then another the next day, with no explanation and left to suffer like this? I am seriously thinking of leaving Cornwall now. My advice, don't get ill in Cornwall.
