"Friendly, kind and professional staff"

About: University Hospital Monklands

(as the patient),

I attended Monklands Hospital for surgery to my eye (a blocked tear duct)  October 2016.

As I have never had a general anaesthetic or been a patient at this hospital before I was very nervous and unsure of what to expect, however I need not have worried.

I met numerous members of staff from Ward 9, the theatre staff, and the day surgery staff, everyone of which was friendly, kind and professional.

I was particularly grateful to my doctor Miss  Yaneza who took time to fully explain the procedure and put me at ease.

Dear BG Russell.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. I was pleased to read that our staff were able to make your first experence as a surgical patient a positive one as it can be a daunting experience going to theatre for the first time. I will pass on your thanks and comments to Ms Yaneza and the teams within Ward 9, Theatres and Day Surgery. Thank you again for taking the time to provide such positive feedback.
