Going home

What could be improved

communication. An evaluation of how the outpatient clinics are run.A ref number printed on the appointment letter could be shown on screens at OP areas so that patient and nurses have visual notice of who is next not a pile of files on a trolley

Anything else?

I attended a doctor's clinic on the 26/05/10 for a10am appointment.I arrived at 9.45am and booked in at the outpatient desk then went to OP3 where I waited till 10.45am then I ask a nurse about the delay she gave no reason why just apoligised ,but weight me and gave me a blood pressure test asking me to move to OP2 where I waited till 11.50.A fellow paitent told me he had a 10.15am appointment and he was then called .I again question the nurse and stated I was most unhappy as I had another appointment and would be late ..The nurse went and found another Doctor who didnt really know what was going on and then ask me to have blood test and said I MAY NOT WILL have to have a scan. This situation came after your trust mess up on a referral to this Clinic.I have now had my madical problem for several months and I am no nearer a result.I feel let down by the whole process and attitude of this trust and feel you need to address these problems as why when the nurse relised the error didnt she put me next to be seen by the doctor I was meant to as my time slot. All I can say is get yuor act together!
