I have been a Lupus patient at Rheumatology Dept at Glasgow Royal Infirmary since 1993 having been transferred from Crosshouse in Kilmarnock. Due to my Lupus I require new knuckles and this time its being done at plastic surgery dept in The Jubilee Building. My appointment at the plastic surgery dept was on the 4th March. I had a consultation with the doctor, sent for x-rays then met the surgeon a date was agreed for April 14th and I then went for my pre op assessment before leaving. How was that for service!! That could easily have been 3 seperate appointments. Unfortunately my op was cancelled because of an emergency and will now take place in June, but I think if everyone could get all assesments done in the one day it would cut down on time and costs for everyone.
