I visited a and e when o began with severe sickness and. Diorrhoea as I am adrenal insufficient.
It was a busy Saturday night/. Sunday early hours and the staff nurses and doctors had a lot to cope with and were extremely busy. I would like to thank the lovely nurses and doctors for their care and treatment.. I was put on a drip and given an emergency hydrocortisone injection and remained in for over 12 hours. It's clear there are not enough resources to cope with the numbers attending but the staff nurses and doctors just battle on and get through it.
The closure of other hospitals has impacted on the Royal oldham and the volume of patients is now huge. They need more resources to cope with this. I was in a mess and completely disorientated and the nursing staff and docs were brilliant. it was a scary experience because of my condition but thank you to all those who helped and looked after me.
