"Nothing. I honestly can not see ..."

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

Nothing. I honestly can not see anything that we liked.

What could be improved

The cleanliness of the hospital ward and the doctors and nurses need to be more respectful to the patients and take more time out to properly assess.

Anything else?

My Nana was in the hospital after breaking her hip. The operation went a dream and up until the beginning of this week, everything was fine. Then, she was moved into a different ward with different staff. After 'a' test, they just whispered in her ear; saying "you have MRSA". Then she described it as throwing a leaflet at her and not saying anything just moving her into a room on her own.

To us this shows a hige manner of disrespect and pure ignorance. This is 60-something woman and she was made to feel like an elderly woman.

Thank you for taking the time to post this comment. I was pleased to read that your Nana’s operation went well, but very disappointed to read how she was treated when it was identified that she had MRSA. Unfortunately I am unable to identify your Nana from this posting, if you would like the Trust to look into this matter in more detail, please contact the Customer Care Department on 01625 661449.
