"My daughters admitted"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Accident and emergency

My daughter was admitted to this department after being discharged from gynaecologist department after a miscarriage She was taken ill with in 20 minutes of being discharged and the gynaecologist department would not attend yo her . They told us she had been discharged and was no longer their responsibility and to take her to our GP.

We were still in the hospital building and her blood pressure was 60/33.

We took her to the A&E department and they were fantastic from the second we went to the administration desk to the doctors and nurses that attended to my daughter within minutes of us getting there. I have nothing but good things to say about A&E but the gynaecologist department is a totally different story.

Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. We are pleased that our staff in A&E cared for you and your daughter well but are disappointed to hear about your experience of our Gynaecology departments. As we have said in a response to an earlier comment you have posted regarding these issues, we would really like to speak to you and your daughter directly so we would appreciate it if you could contact our Patient Relations team on 01539 716621. We hope to hear from you soon.
