My partner was admitted to Wexham Park during the evening of Saturday 12th November to give birth.
While the care we had was generally good, I have very serious concerns over basic levels of hygiene. The doctor overseeing the labour had a rasping cough, for which they were extremely apologetic each time they spoke with us. I find it incredible that a medical professional with an infectious condition, considers it ok to enter a delivery room without taking the simple & effective step of covering their face to prevent spreading infection.
The end result is that three of us- one of which a week old baby- now have a cough/ cold. I would therefore like to know what is Frimley Health's policy regarding taking sensible precautions to prevent staff from infecting patients.
