What I liked

I had major surgery in March 2010, prior to my admission I was preassessed ,fully informed and prepared for how I would be after Surgery. Post Op care was in Cheerfull Sparrows Female,Where I recieved an extremely high standard of care I was kept fully informed, & things happend just as I had been prepared for.

All the staff consistently encouraged me to be self caring but were allways on hand when I falterd. I continue to have follow up from the team both at home , via phone and in hospital.

I was so nervous before & having the same specialist nurse pre & post op and on the ward was so reasuring.

What could be improved

I felt the nurses worked very hard under pressure perhaps some more staff would ease their load.
