We take General Practitioners for granted, so easy to forget that they don't just see a few patients each day, especially when you have a GP who is also a partner at the practice.
The meetings, running a surgery, time restraints, overload of paperwork, long hours, and a never-ending line of unwell patients.
Dr Maung manages each time to smile, say hello, not rush people like me who waffle on (yet I try to time 10 minutes on the clock as I know he's so busy), to give an examination and checks, to be so thorough and you know that he is not trying to get you out the door as quickly as possible. Dr Maung is the best doctor I could wish for and it's not just me, all the patients I know say the same plus the reviews via their website all sing his praises.
It's been about 12 years that I've been going to Bilbrook Medical Centre, Dr Maung is my named GP but I see any doctor who has availability. I do feel relief when I have my appointment with him though as he knows my medical history, I feel comfortable telling him anything I'm going through and I feel safe.
I want Dr Maung to know he is appreciated, I would be lost without him. The help he has given to me over the years, still continuing now, the level of care, kindness and going the extra mile doesn't go unnoticed. He works so hard but always has a smile, he's always friendly and always professional.
There is no-one else I would give 100% trust with my health to.
I hope the NHS Trust know how much we care about someone who works so very hard to keep us in good health.
The practice announced that "Outstanding" had been achieved following the Care Quality Commission Inspection which took place in March 2016. This comes as no surprise, they deserve it and hard work pays off. It's not just GP's but the reception staff who are wonderful, caring, sympathetic and very accommodating and the nurses who greet us with a smile even though everyone is so busy.
I just wanted to dedicate a review about how, even when I'm feeling so poorly, just knowing I have a GP who does all he can to help me and my health problems, that's medicinal in itself.
