Dear All

Just a short message of thanks to you all for treating me so kindly and professionally on the 26th October 2016 after I fell 20 foot from a ladder while trimming back my garden trees.

After a week long stay in Bath Royal United Hospital I am pleased to report that I am now home again.

Apart from three fractures in my lower back, a displaced fracture on my neck and very bruised ribs...I feel fine!!...very stiff but able to walk again with much grunting!!

Joking apart, I know that I have had a very lucky escape and the results could have been much more serious.

During my stay in Forrester - Brown A Ward I observed and was treated with the very best of care from all who attended to me.

I found the Ward environment to be run very smoothly in a professional manner with all staff assisting each other.

Sadly I also witnessed some patients behaving aggressively, both verbally and physically towards nursing staff which I found very shocking, however on each occasion the staff affected carried on with their care and should be commended for this.

I have now been treated at Bath Royal United Hospital on three separate occasions.

On each visit I have found the level of care that I have received to be excellent.

I do find it frustrating that only negative reports are reported on our local news and hope that my letter of thanks helps to redress this.
