"coming off high blood pressure tablets"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital / Accident and emergency

Briefly i was prescribed High blood Pressure tablets but ended up with a majority of the side effects that can arise, has a result my doctor took me off them and the day in question felt really ill, headaches a pain below my rib cage another in my lower stomach shaking and feeling sickly and cramping in the legs. Called a ambulance out they came and checked me over offered to take me there but initially i refused but the symptoms werent getting better so recalled the ambulance one of the paramedics pointed out that the pain wasnt in my chest like i had told the operator but the stomach, they checked bp and blood sugar on the way asked about my health history which i duly obliged. On arrival at the hospital was left in the corridor until the nurse carried out initial assessment needed the toilet so she gave me a bottle so they could check and took me to the toilet and told me to leave it in the next room bottle was marked with my name but unfortunately it went missing.

After the assessment was called to another room another nurse checked my bp and gave me paracetemol for the pain, eventually the doctor came examined me and was informed by a nurse needed x rays when all the results were in was told the results that i was fine just suffering from constipation even tho i had informed them wasnt struggling to use the toilet. Doctor said it was ok for me to go but has I had only enough cash to get a bus and it was 1 30 am by this time requested the receptionist to see if they could sort transport out for me they said must see duty nurse who promptly told me they do not pay to get people home (silly me thinking arrived in ambulance one might take me home) so I had to hang around for 5 hrs until busses started to run I had not eaten the previous day due to the pain and was still feeling a bit shaky when i had to venture to the bus stand in the freezing cold took me ages to warm up when arrived at home
