I have been attending the CIC for many years as an in-patient with Chronic pain and various other illnesses. I have found this service very valuable as taking conventional medicine caused me very bad side effects. The minute you walk into this hospital, there is a sense of peace and calmness which I have not felt in any other hospital. The doctors and nurses are very unique, understanding and very dedicated in their jobs. They treat their patients as individuals and not just a number. I, myself would be totally devastated if the NHS plan to close the 7 bed ward. The beds are part and parcel of this hospital. I feel that the NHS should focus on reversing their actions and bring this hospital back to its original form, with the full ward operating 15 beds. Since I have been attending the CIC my appointments to my own GP practice have been very limited. I am very grateful to the hospital staff for the treatment I have received and will continue to receive.
"Grateful to the hospital staff for the treatment"
